Helping Animals Around The World

Supporting Global Animal Welfare Through Compassion and Action:

At DNA Vetcare, our commitment to animal welfare goes far beyond the walls of our clinics. While we take immense pride in the care we provide to pets at home, our hearts are also deeply invested in the wellbeing of animals in need around the world. For over 14 years, we’ve partnered with dedicated organisations that share our vision of a better future for all animals—and thanks to the unwavering support of our clients and team, we’ve made a meaningful difference.

A Special Partnership: Worldwide Veterinary Service:

Recently, we had the incredible honour of visiting Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS)—a long-time charity partner of ours. This visit was a milestone in many ways. We were invited to officially open their new hospital, a vital hub that will provide life-saving care to animals in under-resourced regions of Thailand. In a truly touching moment, a ward within the hospital was named after our Clinical Director, Dane Walker, in recognition of his tireless efforts and longstanding support for WVS.

For over a decade, our clients have stood alongside us in fundraising for WVS. Every pound raised has gone towards helping animals in desperate need. We’re incredibly proud of the collective impact we’ve achieved together.

Jai Dog Rescue: Giving Street Dogs a Second Chance:

During our trip, we were also thrilled to visit Jai Dog Rescue—a charity close to our hearts and supported by three of our practices: Abingdon Veterinary Clinic, Chelsea Veterinary Surgery, and Elizabeth Street Veterinary Surgery and their amazing clients. We couldn’t be more grateful for our clients’ fundraising efforts, which actively helped supporting Jai Dog’s mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome street dogs in Thailand.

We have been supporting Jai Dog Rescue since 2020 and their work is nothing short of extraordinary. From medical care to rehoming programs, they are changing the lives of dogs who would otherwise have no one to fight for them. It was deeply humbling to witness their work firsthand and see how our contributions are being put into action.

Soi Dog Foundation: Comprehensive Care for Hundreds:

Our journey concluded with a visit to the Soi Dog Foundation, another cornerstone of animal welfare in Southeast Asia.

Taking a tour from CEO Louise and Hospital Director Ala (both shown in the picture on the left) we were astonished by the scale of their work. Their facility includes a full-scale hospital for both dogs and cats, a CNVR (Capture, Neuter, Vaccinate, Release) centre, and boarding facilities for over 1,000 dogs—as well as cats. Soi Dog’s focus on sustainable, long-term solutions for managing the stray animal population is a cause we’re proud to support. Their work not only saves lives but also fosters healthier communities for people and animals alike.

Going the Extra Mile—Or Swimming It:

Dane SwimOne of the most inspiring parts of our ongoing commitment to charity work is the personal dedication shown by our Clinical Director, Dane Walker.

Every year, Dane takes on a swim marathon, raising funds for Worldwide Veterinary Service to help save and support street dogs in Thailand to provide them with a better future.

His annual effort not only raises vital funds but also awareness for the plight of these animals.

Looking Ahead: Building a Brighter Future Together:

We’re currently in active discussions with WVS, Jai Dog Rescue, and Soi Dog Foundation to explore how we can deepen our support. From funding new initiatives to supporting veterinary care and infrastructure, we want to ensure that every donation and effort goes where it’s needed most—for the greatest possible impact on the welfare of both dogs and cats.

We are profoundly grateful to our clients and community who continue to support our fundraising efforts year after year. Together, we are not just helping animals—we are building a global network of care, compassion, and hope.

Stay tuned for more updates, and thank you for being part of our mission.
