Dane Walker: Head Veterinary Surgeon
Dane qualified from Cambridge University in 2000. Since then he has worked in all
aspects of small animal work in many practices across London. His interests include surgery and ultrasound. Dane also holds a post-graduate certificate in small animal surgery and spends a considerable part of his time in the operating theatre.
Dane is an OV practitioner, which enables him to consult on pet travel and issue PETs passports.
Dane does not currently have any pets but along with all the other staff he looks after our rescue practice cat, Noodle.
In his spare time Dane enjoys art (sculpture), swimming and water-polo.
Gabriella Papa: Lead Veterinary Surgeon
Gabriella graduated with honours in 2003 from the University of Naples, Italy.
After graduation she completed a one-year surgical internship at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the University of Naples and she worked in general and referral practices in Italy, while completing a Diploma in infectious disease.
Gabriella moved to the UK in 2007 to work in small animal practice and referral practices. Her main interests are all aspects of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery but she also enjoys feline medicine.
Gabriella holds a RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Surgery and she is a RCVS recognised Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery.
In her spare time Gabriella loves travelling and spending time with her spoiled rescued cat Poto.
Kostas Katsarakis: Senior Veterinary Surgeon
Kostas joined the team in February 2016. He comes from Greece and more specifically the wonderful island of Crete.
Following his graduation from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2009, he continued as a postgraduate student on a 2-year course in Companion Animal Surgery, which he completed with honours in 2012.
He is an RCVS recognised Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery. His main interests include challenging soft tissue or orthopaedic cases, but he also enjoys management of patients with chronic arthritis.
During his free time Kostas enjoys trips to the countryside, but during the summertime he loves going back to sunny Crete and playing beach volleyball. At home he is always greeted by the constantly hungry Gisele, a 'pure-bred' stray cat he found in Greece 11 years ago.
Lowri Elis-Williams: Veterinary Surgeon
Lowri qualified in 2010 from Cambridge University and began her career working in mixed practice in Northern Ireland. She moved in to small animal practice in 2012.
Lowri joined us here at Streatham in 2017. Lowri enjoys the wide variety of veterinary work but has a special interest in medicine including ultrasound scanning and performing lap spay (key hole surgery).
Lowri is currently studying a feline medicine course.
In her spare time Lowri is training for rough runner, she also cycles a lot and loves baking.
Lowri lives locally with her boyfriend, baby and her lovely cat Morris!
Felicity Rutledge: Veterinary Surgeon
Felicity qualified in Australia in 2012, where she worked for two years in a mixed practice.
She moved to England in October last year and has spent the last 12 months working in small animal practices.
In her spare time Felicity enjoys horse riding and camping.
Bridget Bliss: Veterinary Surgeon
Bridget grew up amongst Border Collies, various stray cats, horses and pigs in Millmerran, Queensland Australia.
Bridget qualified as a Vet in 2012 and came to London to practice in 2014 before joining DNA Vetcare as our permanent South West London Float Vet in April 2016.
She has a passion for small animal medicine and loves the variety of pets she sees travelling between our popular South London Surgeries.
Bridget has a keen interest in ultrasound - a skill she is hoping to develop greatly over the next year.
In her spare time she enjoys running, yoga, reading and spending time with her friends. Bridget has also recently joined a local group where you can borrow a dog to go jogging with, to keep her company - sounds like fun!
